Before we head on to this day’s adventure, let me first share with you what we’ve had for breakfast, Takoyaki!
This day, our first destination is Akihabara, a district known for its electronic and anime shops, arcades and maid cafes.
We didn’t do so much here aside from window shopping but this place will make anime fanatics and tech savvy go crazy!
Guess where we had lunch? Paparapapaaaaa!
Then off to Meiji Jingu (Meiji Shrine)!
Barrels of sake wrapped in straw:
Hi Grace and Zin!
Our faces after several failed jump shots (again), hahaha!
Temizu – a symbolic cleansing done before entering a shrine for purification
En route to Shinjuku to find the LOVE sculpture (as per Grace’s request):
And after a few turns here and there.. We found it!
Before heading home, we made a quick stop to Shibuya and grabbed something to drink. Zin and Grace got their coffee fix from Starbucks (near the Shibuya crossing) while I decided to line up with the people and try out this milk tea from CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice. Found out they’re also available in Manila! For more info, click here.
UPDATE: Realized just now (while drafting Day 4) that we actually had only one agenda that day, which will be too short for a separate blog post.
The next day, we were off to *drum roll please* Mount Fuji! Ticket (two-way) costs Y3,000 each.
It took us more or less two hours from Shinjuku Station to reach Fujikawaguchiko.
Yes, it is extra cold there, thus my jacket and pale lips, hahaha!
Also as you can see from this picture, it is very cloudy that day. *cries* On a less cloudy day, Mount Fuji is visible in this spot.
So, we explored a little to make the most of this day. And we found Lake Kawaguchi!
Bought an ice cream to savour together with this view.
On our way home (we were already inside the bus), Mount Fuji decided to show up! YEY!!!
I know the picture is kinda blurry, it’s because I edited it already for selective focus.
Again, I hope I’ve somehow brought you with us in our third and fourth day! Until day 5! 🙂
